We're all aware of the congestion blocking roads across the area – the A6, Bents Lane and the Bredbury roundabout, and across Marple and Marple Bridge.
This can only be fixed by long-term planning. We've already successfully campaigned for the Metrolink to be extended to Stockport, which provides a platform for improved public transport across our area. We're working on tram–train links from there towards Marple, getting more out of the rail freight system across our area, making more of our stations accessible, and delivering more regular trains towards Manchester.
