Online People’s Postcode Lottery funding workshop available for local charities
MP Lisa Smart is working with the People’s Postcode Lottery to promote a funding workshop for local charities to see how they can apply for funds in their community.
The live Zoom event takes place on Friday, 6 February at 2pm. People from the Hazel Grove constituency wanting to attend should contact: funding@postcodelottery.co.uk.
Liberal Democrat MP Lisa Smart said: “I know there are many charities in my constituency that would greatly benefit from additional funding, and I encourage them to attend the workshop to learn more about the opportunities available to them.
“I am very grateful for the continued support for the People’s Postcode lottery to charities in the area, and look forward to getting more support for them through this.”
Over £142,000 raised by People’s Postcode Lottery players has already made a difference to many small, local good causes in the Hazel Grove constituency.
The Head of Public Affairs at People’s Postcode Lottery, Nick Cook, added: “We want to do as much as we can to help local charities and good causes successfully apply, particularly at a time when many are losing out on essential funds.
Our free virtual workshop is a useful opportunity for smaller, local charities to find out about the funding available, get advice on applying and ask us any questions they may have.”
