MP visits Offerton Wavers Community Café

MP Lisa Smart visited the Wavers Community Café at Offerton Community Centre this week to see how the local initiative supports women to build confidence, skills, and connections so that they can lead successful lives.

Lisa Smart, the Liberal Democrat MP for Hazel Grove Constituency, said: “It’s brilliant to see the collaborative efforts to improve the quality of life for women, especially in a time of such global inequality.”

The café is open to the public on Thursdays from 11–1, and the menu comes highly recommended by the local MP.

She added: “The work of the ‘wave of change’ ladies is truly inspiring. We should all strive to be as devoted and passionate about developing a better and brighter future for our communities.”
