Annual Auction

Find that perfect Christmas present for your loved ones and make a real bargain! Join us for an entertaining evening with great food and the chance to buy some possibly unusual Christmas presents and delicious homemade food for a tasty festive season.

Entry costs £10 and includes a traditional or vegetarian hot-pot followed by apple pie or crumble. All money will go towards electing more Liberal Democrats locally – so please give generously as we're heading into crucial local and general elections in 2024.

Auction Lots

Here are some of the most prominent items you will get to bid on at the Auction.

A) A Gtech battery hedge trimmer model HT3.0. This comes with a wall storage rack, charging cord, safety harness and instructions. It uses an 18v 2000mAh Li--ion battery which can be fully charged in about 4 hours. Overall length is c.1.8m so allowing an easy cutting reach of about 1.5m. The c.33 cm cutter can be angled to do hedge tops etc.

B) An Orange coloured Le Creuset cast iron Terrine Dish 28 x 10w x 8d cm.

C) A bottle of House of Commons Whisky.

D) Artificial 4 ft Christmas tree - only used once.

E) A Maginon 20-60 x 60 Spotting Scope and tripod kit. Both telescope and tripod come with protective cloth cases for travelling and both are fairly lightweight so would suit budding bird watchers, ship and aircraft spotters, astronomers and so on. The telescope has a 45 degree angled eyepiece as has become popular with many serious birdwatchers. Box opened but essentially unused.

F) A short walk guided country walk by rambling supremo Bruce Fairbanks followed by a reviving hot pot (walk not compulsory!) for up to 4 people hosted by Bruce and Jenny Fairbanks at a mutually agreed time.

G) A Lakeland "Breadmaker Pro". Will make a 2 lb. loaf and is equiped with a seed dispensing drawer for those who like seeds on their bread. This item is probably unused and is boxed but the box is a little worse for wear!

H) A Philips HD9220/20 airfryer just used two or three times. Print out of instructions on the internet provided.

J) A VonShef 3 litre sainless steel deep fat fryer. 41 x 22 x 26 cm overall, 2 kW, temperature control range from 130 - 190 deg C. Hardly used and boxed.

K) A bottle of Black Tower Fruity White wine.

L) A brand new Antler "New Directions" garment carrier. Folded length c.55cm, width 58cm. In very dark blue with brown detailling. With shoulder strap.

M) A very smart pair of ladies court shoes, size 5½ with 2" heel, in light fawn, silver and sparkly by Gabor. As new and unworn.

N) A set of five small (11 x 7 cm) boat shaped bowls by Utsuwa-No-Yakata of Los Angeles, possibly intended for Kobachi, a traditional course of small-sized highly flavoured appetizers.

P) A Nikon camera model D3300 AF-P 18-55 VR "kit". This camera was introduced in 2014. It is an ideal beginner's Digital SLR offering 24 MP on an APS-C sensor, 11 point AF with face detecion, ISO to 12800, HD video, 700 shot battery life and weighs just 460g. The lens offers a 3:1 zoom ratio from a decent wide angle to modest telephoto and provides some image stabilisation. This camera is AS NEW, takes lovely pictures in full auto mode and is a bit of a bargain if you want better quality or want to get more into photography. Similar examples are selling at over £200 on ebay. Ask Richard Stephenson for further information if you are interested.

Q) A small unused Radley coin purse featuring that dog!

R) A Gifted Gardener mini potting kit consisting of gloves, cardboard pots, mini trowel & rake, twine and labels packaged in a small wooden tray.

S) A bottle of House of Lords Whisky

T) A boxed pair of attractive yellow Julien Macdonald photo frames. 18 x 23 cm overall, picture 9½ x 14½ cm. There is a slight crack at the bottom of one frame which is almost invisible.

U) A set of 4 Oliver Bonas decorated tall (28cm) champagne flutes - boxed and unopened.

V) A Morphy Richards 48822 stainless steel soup maker with a capacity up to 1.6 L. This item is unused but is without box or instructions though some information is available online. Currently retailing at over £60 on Amazon.

W) A Bliss 3 strand necklace with silver coloured chains and silver coloured ovoid beads.

X) A box containing a dozen assorted bottles of beer - handy for Christmas!

Y) A basket with original home made, family recipe German Christmas biscuits.

Z) A bottle of Dino Prosecco D.O.C.
