Leader of the Liberal Democrat Group on Epping Forest District Council, Jon Whitehouse, has today received clarification on the many missed rubbish and recycling collections across the district.

Save our green belt
The Government has doubled the housebuilding target for Stockport, weakened the protections on a third of our precious green belt, and is forcing the Council through Ministerial Directives and threats to adopt a Local Plan which will let developers target green belt first.
We oppose this government’s ‘developers charter’ and need your voice. Do you agree with us that the green spaces that make our area special need to be preserved, and new housing should first be built on brownfield sites, after the infrastructure is provided with schools, improved transport, and GP places guaranteed? US HIV ban finally gone
The ban on HIV-positive people entering the US officially ends today, Monday 4th January. The 22-year-old law was one of the most restrictive immigration policies in the world for people with HIV but was lifted following pressure from the EU. In November President Barack Obama described it as a "decision rooted in fear rather than fact".
