The Government has doubled the housebuilding target for Stockport, weakened the protections on a third of our precious green belt, and is forcing the Council through Ministerial Directives and threats to adopt a Local Plan which will let developers target green belt first.

Liverpool’s Liberal Democrats have hit out at Labour-run Liverpool City Council after residents across the city reported having their additional bins taken “stolen” by the Council, leaving many households unable to dispose of their rubbish properly.
In 2019, Cornwall Council declared a Climate Emergency. The Council has encouraged use of public transport, replaced its pool cars with electric vehicles, installed solar panels and planted trees. But some new Councillors don't realise economic benefits.
