Figures released by Bedford Borough Liberal Democrat group show that local rail company Thameslink have been responsible for a 60% increase in train delay times from April 2000 to December 2001.

Save our green belt
The Government has doubled the housebuilding target for Stockport, weakened the protections on a third of our precious green belt, and is forcing the Council through Ministerial Directives and threats to adopt a Local Plan which will let developers target green belt first.
We oppose this government’s ‘developers charter’ and need your voice. Lib Dems Call For Urgent Review Of Urban Sites
Following Bedford Borough Council Executive Committee's recommendation to return the decision on the Bedford Local Plan to the Planning Committee, Liberal Democrat Councillor, Stuart Green has proposed the introduction of an urban capacity study to examine possible alternatives to the use of Greenbelt land in North Brickhill and Norse Road for new housing developments.
