Derbyshire's Labour MPs have been accused of breaking a manifesto commitment by voting to make identity cards compulsory for anybody applying for a passport.
The Government has doubled the housebuilding target for Stockport, weakened the protections on a third of our precious green belt, and is forcing the Council through Ministerial Directives and threats to adopt a Local Plan which will let developers target green belt first.
We oppose this government’s ‘developers charter’ and need your voice. Essex County Council is proposing to slap more than 50% onto the cost of its Meals on Wheels service. Lib Dem Cllr Freda Mountain slammed the decision, saying, "I will fight this appalling rise - the third in a year - from £2.10 to £3.50. It will deprive many elderly people of their only meals."
