Local Liberal Democrats once again topped the European polls in Chesterfield and Staveley as they did in 2004.
The Government has doubled the housebuilding target for Stockport, weakened the protections on a third of our precious green belt, and is forcing the Council through Ministerial Directives and threats to adopt a Local Plan which will let developers target green belt first.

Surrey Police Authority (SPA) Chairman Peter Williams confirmed last week that they will seek permission for a Judicial Review of the Government's decision to cap the SPA's budget this year.
