Elderly people in England are to be given cash to fund their own social care, the health secretary has said.
The Government has doubled the housebuilding target for Stockport, weakened the protections on a third of our precious green belt, and is forcing the Council through Ministerial Directives and threats to adopt a Local Plan which will let developers target green belt first.

Elderly people in England are to be given cash to fund their own social care, the health secretary has said.
Commenting on reports that the Government is planning on giving elderly people grants to pay for their own care, Liberal Democrat Shadow Health Secretary, Norman Lamb MP said:
On the day that the Government has announced the level of benefits for next year, the Liberal Democrats have released figures showing that pensioners now receive less than in 1950.
