The Government has doubled the housebuilding target for Stockport, weakened the protections on a third of our precious green belt, and is forcing the Council through Ministerial Directives and threats to adopt a Local Plan which will let developers target green belt first.

Willie Rennie and Lib Dems storm to victory in Dunfermline
Last night Willie Rennie and the Liberal Democrats won a sensational victory in the Dunfermline and West Fife by-election. There was a massive swing of 16.2% from the Labour Party to the Liberal Democrats, just nine months after the General Election. This swing would be enough to see the Liberal Democrats gain Wolverhampton South West at the next General Election.
Dundee Liberal Democrats have echoed the criticism of the party nationally at the Government's handling of the failures of the Child Support Agency.
