The Government has doubled the housebuilding target for Stockport, weakened the protections on a third of our precious green belt, and is forcing the Council through Ministerial Directives and threats to adopt a Local Plan which will let developers target green belt first. 

We oppose this government’s ‘developers charter’ and need your voice.  Do you agree with us that the green spaces that make our area special need to be preserved, and new housing should first be built on brownfield sites, after the infrastructure is provided with schools, improved transport, and GP places guaranteed? Help us send a message to Government and make Labour listen to local people.

Cheriton Councillor Tim Prater has submitted an "Application for Modification Order" to the Kent County Council Definitive Map and Statement to add the footpath, from the end of Valebrook Close to the Northern end of HR43, in Cheriton, Folkestone.

Liberal Democrats at Wolverhampton Vaisaiki celebrations

Liberal Democrats were in the West Park to join in with the Sikh community's annual Vaisaiki celebrations. Speaking from the platform Liz Lynne, the West Midlands Liberal Democrat MEP reminded the large crowd that the European Elections will be on June 4th and everybody should be sure to vote for one of the main parties.

Annual Sandgate Parish and Annual Council Meetings

The Annual Parish meeting and Annual Council meetings are being held on Tuesday 12th May. The Annual Council meeting will be at 6:45pm and the Parish meeting at 7:30pm both at the Sandgate Parish Council Offices and Library.
