Lib Dem dismay at A64 U-Turn
York Liberal Democrat Councillors have expressed dismay at the news that York & North Yorkshire Labour Mayor David Skaith has u-turned on support for dualling stretches of the A64 between York and Malton.
The Government has doubled the housebuilding target for Stockport, weakened the protections on a third of our precious green belt, and is forcing the Council through Ministerial Directives and threats to adopt a Local Plan which will let developers target green belt first.
We oppose this government’s ‘developers charter’ and need your voice. York Liberal Democrat Councillors have hit out against the Labour Government’s plans to cut £5 billion a year from disability benefits and have called on Labour MP Luke Charters to reconsider his support for the cuts.
