The Government has doubled the housebuilding target for Stockport, weakened the protections on a third of our precious green belt, and is forcing the Council through Ministerial Directives and threats to adopt a Local Plan which will let developers target green belt first.
We oppose this government’s ‘developers charter’ and need your voice. Epsom & Ewell Borough Council has abandoned attempts to find a sports use for part of Hook Road Arena, despite a development strategy which says it should increase provision of outdoor sports pitches and recreation.

Cheriton Councillor Peter Carroll has reported to Kent Highway Services the blackout at the M20 J12 Cheriton Interchange that has disabled many of the street-lights in the area.
The Appeal Court has ruled an NHS advisory body should have been more transparent in the way it made decisions over Alzheimer's drugs. Eisai, which makes Aricept, had challenged the process by which it and similar medicines were restricted to people with late stage disease. Three judges said the advisory body should have released details of how it reached its decision. However, the ruling does not mean the drugs will be more widely available.
