Help us send a message to Government and make Labour listen to local people.

They were speaking during a special edition of Question Time on BBC TV. Mr Clegg said he had already had private conversations with Sir Menzies Campbell and Charles Kennedy. Mr Huhne said it would be foolish not to make use of men of their "calibre".
The Home Office announced on Thursday they would withdraw funding for the 101 service from March 2008. It was working so well in the North that it had been nominated for a national award by the Home Office.
