The European Parliament has come to an agreement with the European Council on a deal that will significantly cut the cost of mobile roaming SMS (texting) and data charges from the 1st July 2009.
The Government has doubled the housebuilding target for Stockport, weakened the protections on a third of our precious green belt, and is forcing the Council through Ministerial Directives and threats to adopt a Local Plan which will let developers target green belt first.
We oppose this government’s ‘developers charter’ and need your voice. St Peter's campaigner, Zahid Shah, has joined Councillor Claire Darke in the campaign to have every road and street equipped with a full set of street name plates. Zahid said, "Even though many drivers now have sat nav it is still important that all our roads should be clearly identifiable.
