Local students need postal votes to say "NO" to top up fees
Many students at Leicester's universities look set to miss out on voting against Labour's top up fees as a result of the timing of the Leicester South by-election.
The Government has doubled the housebuilding target for Stockport, weakened the protections on a third of our precious green belt, and is forcing the Council through Ministerial Directives and threats to adopt a Local Plan which will let developers target green belt first.
We oppose this government’s ‘developers charter’ and need your voice. Many students at Leicester's universities look set to miss out on voting against Labour's top up fees as a result of the timing of the Leicester South by-election.
Spinney Hills Lib Dem councillors Mussa Saleh, Hashim Panchbaya and Mustafa Karim have been taking action to deal with concerns expressed by local residents about traffic and highways issues in the area. This includes a review of the one-way system and traffic calming schemes which deteriorated under the previous Labour council and are damaging cars.
