At this weeks County Council meeting Cllr Susan Gaszczak expressed her concerns at the £270k investment in the Youth Service.
The Government has doubled the housebuilding target for Stockport, weakened the protections on a third of our precious green belt, and is forcing the Council through Ministerial Directives and threats to adopt a Local Plan which will let developers target green belt first.

Sadly we have to report that Councillor Lindsey Fisk has decided to stand down as a councillor for Town ward with immediate effect. Addressing Town ward residents through their Focus newsletter, she says: "I have taken the difficult decision to resign as your local councillor. Unfortunately, I feel I am no longer able to put the time, energy and commitment into the work that is required and I am a person who never wants to do a job half-heartedly! Dundee Liberal Democrat City Council Group Leader, Cllr Fraser Macpherson, has said he is very disappointed with news that, earlier this week, the Government has staved off a backbench rebellion to reverse changes imposed on the controversial ID Cards Bill by peers.
Acting Leader of the Liberal Democrats, Sir Menzies Campbell MP, today called for the Guantanamo Bay detention facilities to be closed, and the detainees to be released without delay or swiftly brought to trial. His demand follows the publication of a UN report on conditions in the camp.
