Save our green belt
The Government has doubled the housebuilding target for Stockport, weakened the protections on a third of our precious green belt, and is forcing the Council through Ministerial Directives and threats to adopt a Local Plan which will let developers target green belt first.
We oppose this government’s ‘developers charter’ and need your voice. Do you agree with us that the green spaces that make our area special need to be preserved, and new housing should first be built on brownfield sites, after the infrastructure is provided with schools, improved transport, and GP places guaranteed? Kent Trading Standards: If it looks like an email scam, it probably is...
Kent Trading Standards has received of a number of complaints relating to unsolicited emails offering consumers the chance to make additional income by having money transferred into their account which they then forward to another account after taking a cut themselves. This then allows the scammer to access the consumer's bank account, which can result in the loss of large amounts of money.

It's time to Fix the Finances
Over the last four years, the Tories running Surrey County Council have provided poor services for residents, wasted millions of pounds of Council Taxpayers money and produced continual spin claiming that the council is "outstanding" when plainly it is not. The outcome of this sorry state of affairs is the demotion of the Council by the Audit Commission from a 4 Star council in 2005 to a 1 Star council in 2008.

Fuller Calls on South Kent to Save Learning Support Assistants
Local Lib Dem Gary Fuller has written to South Kent College Governor and District & Town Councillor George Bunting calling on him to intercede with the College's management to prevent the casualisation of its highly dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSA) workforce.
