Four members of Wolverhampton South West Liberal Democrats took part in the 2008 Wolverhampton Marathon. Cllr Robin Lawrence and Zahid Shah were in a Half Marathon Relay Challenge team and Cllr Claire Darke and her son Walker entered the 15Km cycle event. All four completed their events in a good time (if a little exhausted!) and raised a significant sum of money for local good causes including the Mayoral Charity Fund.
