Mr Rowen said: "I am happy to have been given this key position in the party on such a serious issue. For far too long some of the major obstacles faced by disabled people have been ignored. I will be championing issues involving the disabled and their carers. My main aim will be examing legislation to make sure that disabled people have a voice. I will make sure that disabled people receive full equality so that they can fully participate in UK society."
