The annual Fresher's Fayre took place today at the University of the Wolverhampton. The Liberal Democrats were the only mainstream political party to have a stand at the Fayre and signed up a number of new members and took details of many more that expressed an interest.

Leicester City Council is celebrating national Green Flag Awards for four city parks, following over £170,000 of improvements. Evington Park, Knighton Park and Watermead Country Park have all achieved the Green Flag standard for the first time. Abbey Park has received the award for the 4th consecutive year.

Rochdale's MP - Paul Rowen took time out of his schedule to make sure his hearing was in tip top condition. Paul, the Lib Dem MP for Rochdale decided to get his hearing tested by the Royal National Institute for the Deaf, the charity represents the 9 million deaf and hard of hearing people in the UK. Paul has voiced his support for the charity that focuses on the support to ensure that those with a disability and older workers receive the help they need to remain in the work place.
