Scarborough MP Robert Goodwill has been attacked by the Liberal Democrats for helping to vote down proposals for external auditing of all MPs' expenses.
A petition has been set up at http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/HMSWolverhampton/ to try and get a ship named HMS Wolverhampton - Wolverhampton is the largest city never to have had this honour (and only one of 5 cities in the UK not to have had the honour). Liberal Democrats at Essex County Council have put forward plans for members of the public to take part in open council meetings at county hall. A motion submitted by the group, proposes a 'public questions' spot at meetings of the full council, where any member of the public can put a question directly to the administration.
£4,000 raised for Bangladesh project
Responding to the Government's Consultation on Eco-Towns, Bedford Borough Lib Dems have objected to the proposed development for the Northern Marston Vale. The submission also calls for all new housing developments to be built to high standards of environmental sustainability, and not just a select few eco-towns.
