Register for a postal vote by 5pm on 26/11/19

Polling day for the General Election is the 12th December. Have you considered registering for a postal vote?

I wanted to let you know that the deadline for applying for a postal vote is 5pm on the 26th November.

A lot of people tell me that voting by post means it is a lot easier to cast their ballot – they are not restricted to just one day to do so.

If you register to vote by post your ballot papers for the General Election will be delivered in the post before polling day.

You can then complete your ballot paper at home and then pop it back in the post – or you can even drop it back into a polling station on polling day itself.

Don't forget the deadline to apply is 5pm on 26th November.

If you are going to be away for a long time and think you may miss your postal ballot arriving or you will struggle to vote any other way then you have until 5pm on 4th December to apply for a proxy vote.

A proxy vote means that someone you have nominated is able to go to the polling station to vote on your behalf.

Don't miss out on casting your vote in what could well be the most important General Election of our generation. And, if you are going away over polling day, have a lovely time!
